WRAP With You is a place for you to get to know us, what we do, why we do it, and how we do it. You will find stories about people, information about our program, and how you can get started with the application process. We will also include useful information about ramps and how to build one, if you are so inspired, where to find instructions, materials, and more.

Some people truly have giving hearts. Tom Lage and his grandson Quinn Leland are extraordinary volunteers, and our volunteer spotlight shines on them this month.

On May 1st, WRAP hosted a volunteer appreciation breakfast to celebrate the 85 projects completed in 2023. The builds were led by 14 talented WRAP designers. We were thrilled to welcome a fantastic turnout of 35 amazing volunteers who have been the backbone of the organization.
The event was hosted in the Eagle Ridge Community Room in Marion where each volunteer was gifted a May Day basket. Volunteers indulged in delicious breakfast casseroles provided by Z’s Catering in North Liberty, and cinnamon rolls and kolaches from My Mom’s Bakery in Ely.
Erin Pazour, WRAP Board President, spoke at the volunteer breakfast where she thanked all volunteers for continuing to support WRAP through various challenges during 2023.
Thank you once again to all our volunteers. Your contributions have made a world of difference, and we look forward to achieving even more together in the future!
As we look ahead, we are excited to announce that WRAP will be celebrating its 20th anniversary later this year! This incredible milestone is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, designers, and supporters. Stay tuned for further information!
Since 2004, WRAP has been building ramps to assist our community. Recently, we completed our 1,000th project, a monumental milestone in our history. Our 1,000th project was completed by 17 volunteers and led by WRAP Designer Steve Schroeder. Our client was a 55-year-old woman who uses a walker. There were smiles all around!
In addition to the build, WRAP volunteers and board members celebrated with cake, refreshments, and photos! KCRG came out to cover the event, but sadly the story never made it to print.

As we look to the future, WRAP aspires to aid countless more individuals and families with our work. Later this year, we will celebrate 20 years of volunteering, designing, and serving our community. In the years to come, we aim to help hundreds of people with home access needs across Linn County and beyond!
On May 9th, WRAP along with organizations from Transamerica and ImOn Communications came together to build three ramps in one day. Day of Caring is a volunteer initiative that takes place each year all across Iowa. Non-profit organizations work with sponsor companies to complete many volunteer efforts in one day!
The spirit of Day of Caring is infectious, and this year was no different. While the morning was clear and sunny, it rained all afternoon. Despite the poor weather, volunteers diligently worked through the rain with a can-do attitude! By the end of the day, all three WRAP ramps we had set out to build were completed!
The projects were led and designed by Steve Schroeder, Curt Liscum, Dave Diebold, and Dan Stabile. We were surrounded by enthusiastic and passionate volunteers all day. We value our partner companies that assist with our mission each Day of Caring!
